Why does the UForce 1000 need a heat shield?

CFMOTO routed the exhaust pipe directly beneath the cargo bed on the UForce 1000 platform. At operating temperature the bed floor gets hot enough to melt plastic containers and damage cargo. The heat shield creates an insulating barrier that dramatically reduces bed temperature.

Does this fit the UForce 1000 XL?

Yes. This kit fits both the standard UForce 1000 and the 1000 XL. The mounting points are the same between both models.

Is drilling required for installation?

No drilling is required. The heat shield uses existing bolt holes and mounting points on the frame. Installation is bolt-on and takes about 30-45 minutes. All hardware is included in the kit.
